Airsoft Colorado will be switching only allowing Biodegradable BB's. Effective June 2009. We want to give people time to use up their existing ammo, and to start purchasing Bio BB's. Players that have bought mass quantities of non-bio ammo (such as myself) are out of luck... Sorry.
This decision was made for several reasons but the main one is this. It has come to the attention of Airsoft Colorado that the National Forest rules state that we are to be using Biodegradable ammo. Our presense will only grow larger in the summer months and we do not want to loose our access to the Rampart Range area. All one needs to do is look at the parking lot (the new parking lot that has been open for 6 months) and see our bb's all over the place.
Also we have seen over the years a growing trend of National level events to be only allowing* Biodegradable ammo. Now that there are several high quality bb produces that have bio bbs such as excel, Madbull, G&G, Javelin... it is much easier for the average player to purchase Bio ammo.
The new ammo rule is as follows;
All players must use biodegradable ammo. Sniper Rifles using bb's weighing more the 0.25g are exempt from this requirement.
